7/8ths Projects................................ The Gin Pole

A gin pole is nothing more than a small crane.  This one is manually operated with two hand winches. The winch drums, gears and handles on the winches are by Ozark miniatures, the turnbuckles by Proctor, and of course nuts and bolts from Micro Fasteners, the rest is hand made.

A before and after picture of the pulleys.  The pulley from the hardware store is chrome plated and impossible to paint, so I stripped out the wheel from the store bought pulley and made new frames out of brass.
