Welcome to the (Web) Home of the

Yard Dawdler & Just Empty Every Pocket RailRoad

(YD&JEEP RR)

The YD&JEEP RR is located in Rosewood Heights, Illinois. It is scheduled to begin right of way construction Spring 2003. The YD&Jeep RR will utilize USA Track, with selected LGB (Switches) and Aristo-Craft (Crossings, Power supplies, etc) hardware as required.

The YD&Jeep is nominally a narrow gauge line, but is totally freelanced and runs whatever equipment the CEO can acquire (and strikes his fancy) and the CFO (The Honorable "Yes Dear", a.k.a "YD") agrees too...YD&Jeep Maintenance crews slavishly maintain all equipment, and do not replace servicable equipment...therefore, it is very likely that railfans might see a modern consist pulled behind a GP38-2, followed shortly thereafter by a 4-6-0 Coal burning engine pulling wood coaches! In deference to the history and heritage of the equipment, very few pieces are repainted to the YD&Jeep paint scheme unless damaged on receipt or requiring major rebuild.
