What's New

We have vinyl signs in and around our garden railroad that have been exposed to the Colorado elements, 24/7, since 2004. They are still in excellent condition. The painted backgrounds on some; not so good.

Not much ...

How to Apply Vinyl Transfers

Vinyl Transfers

A Vinyl Transfer is a single color image cut out of vinyl with pressure sensitive adhesive on one side, protected by a backing sheet. The top of the transfer is covered with transfer tape, which holds the letters in aligment.

General Purpose Signs & Lettering

We use this process for complex graphic images that can't be done in cut vinyl.
Make your own crossbucks, any size, and we can supply the lettering.
We can make about anything you need. It doesn't have to be railroad.

Made to Your Specifications

Your cut vinyl transfers will last 5 years or more when exposed to the weather 24/7 (such as building signs), or a lifetime on locomotives and rolling stock.
Our vinyl is only 3 mils thick (0.003"). A human hair is 2 mils. The vinyl alphabets you may have seen in an office supply store are much thicker.
We can make your railroad and buildings unique, or match your favorite prototype lettering. Just tell us what you need.
Position the transfer over the surface using masking tape as a hinge, remove the backing sheet, press in place, and remove the transfer tape. Complete and ready for use in less than a minute. No basecoat to apply, no water, no setting solutions, no wait times, etc. (Does that sound familiar?)
