A Vinyl Transfer is a single color  image cut out of vinyl with pressure sensitive adhesive on one side, protected by a backing sheet. The top of the transfer is covered with transfer tape. To apply it, you remove the backing sheet, position the transfer over the surface, press in place, and then remove the transfer tape.

How We Make Your Vinyl Transfers

Your image is converted into a format compatible with our sign making software. The vinyl material with adhesive and backing tape is placed in our computer aided sign cutter, which is basically an XY plotter that uses a blade to cut the vinyl, but not the backing. The excess vinyl material around the lettering and images is then removed by hand, which can be very tedious with small lettering. The vinyl is then covered with transfer tape.

The final product, ready for application, is in three layers; transfer tape, vinyl image with adhesive, and backing tape.
